As part of their efforts to uplift the Latino communities by controlling the high incidence of diabetes, obesity and high cholesterol, amongst other epidemics, every year the Trilatino Triathlon Club invites our 15 BAL students to explore the sport of triathlon.
Through this after school program, Trilatino Jrs learn youth life skills and discipline to complete the goals they set out for themselves. They are also taught about proper nutrition and become fit through weekly training sessions. Most importantly, their Trilatino Mentors show them how all of these things add up to create a positive long term impact in their lives. Check out a feature down on our students from Bronx News 12.
On June 14th, 2015, the following 13 Jrs competed in the Swim 70 Seaside Triathlon and Duathlon.
